However, according to AS, the Spanish giants may struggle to fund a move for the French international due to renovation work at the Bernabeu and their desire to extend the contracts of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.
It is claimed that those developments could encourage United to try to push through the transfer and the Premier League outfit are said to be ready to meet the €120m asking price.
Pogba spent two years at Old Trafford between 2010 and 2012 but he made the decision to leave for Italy after making just seven substitute appearances.
