When Mbali Ngubeni’s nine-year-old daughter Bongiwe went missing on 1 December last year, the shattered mum put all her hope in the cops to find her angel.
As time dragged on with no sign of little Bongiwe, Mbali also turned to sangomas and prophets in her search for the child.
But instead of helping the sad mum find her girl, the sangomas and prophets only brought her more pain!
Mbali (35) from Protea Glen in Soweto said she had spent more than R200 000 on sangomas’ false claims that they could find her child.

Mbali told Daily Sun that when she took her daughter to school on 1 December last year, she assumed she would see her again that afternoon.
“Whether she is alive or dead, I want to find out why she was taken from me,” the mum said.
Mtimande Ngwenya of the commission they will investigate each and every sangoma Mbali went to. “All the sangomas who took money from Mbali and didn’t deliver what they promised,” said Ngwenya.
