Innovative sex workers take to social networks to boost trade

Sex workers across the country have found innovative ways to boost their businesses as they have taken to Whats-app and other social networks to advertise their services, revealed Bulawayo 24 investigations.

According to the publication these sex workers require potential customers to pay between $5 and $10 upfront before any negotiations of venues could be discussed. It is alleged that they distribute their numbers to potential buyers with a caption brief on their ‘services’ as their statuses.

It has been revealed that a number of unrestricted pages dedicated to the ‘oldest trade’ have also been created on social networking sites, thus raising concerns that children are being exposed to adult content and offers of adult services.

In many cases, agencies and individuals have used Facebook and Twitter to post lurid photographs alongside detailed descriptions. These include names, phone numbers, addresses, prices and specific acts on offer. Read more on this story at Bulawayo 24.
