The Russian ambassador to Cameroon, Anatoly Bashkin, was assaulted Sunday by two individuals while he was walking on the streets of Yaounde, according to a statement issued 24 hours later by the Russian diplomatic representation.
The document, to which a copy journalducameroun.com got a copy “expresses the hope that the Cameroonian authorities will do all that is necessary to find and arrest the perpetrators, as well as to ensure and reinforce the security of the diplomatic missions and their employees”.
