Several Anglophone activists arrested in the North West and South West regions of Cameroon in connection to the ongoing crisis return to the military tribunal in Yaounde today for their trial to continue.
Today’s trial comes exactly one week after about 289 persons arrested in connection to the crisis were freed following an order from the Head of State to discontinue their cases.
However, Paul Biya only ordered for the discontinuance of misdemeanour cases against and those suspected of committing serious crimes were maintained in detention.

During the last hearing on November 16, most of the detainees had vowed not to return to court again if te processs keeps dragging on and it is not clear if they will appear in court today.
