Rumours of former Tourism and Hospitality minister Walter Mzembi have been dismissed as hogwash by his close lieutenants. Reports that Mzembi passed away in a South African Hospital swirled on social media on Saturday afternoon.
Former Education and G40 kingpin Minister Jonathan Moyo dismissed the rumours as idle nonsense. According to NewZimbabwe.com, Mzembi’s business associates revealed on Saturday that he’s 100 per cent fine.

Earlier this week, Mzembi’s Lawyer Job Sikhala revealed that Mzembi could not attend the trial on criminal abuse of office charges because he is gravely ill and admitted at a South African hospital. Mzembi is said to be suffering from colon cancer.
Mzembi as the minister for tourism for a long time under former president Robert Mugabe. He was appointed Foreign affairs Minister only to lose his job a few weeks later after Mugabe was deposed in a military coup in November 2017.
