As the world reels over the untimely death of “Wakanda king”, Chadwick Boseman, so much about him is finally getting out to the public.
He did not publicly divulge that he was suffering from colon cancer, for four years while shooting over 5 blockbuster movies – that include Black Panther and Avengers series (The End Game).
Fans were even more stunned by the fact that he was covertly married to singer Taylor Simone Ledward, whom he wedded just a few months before he died at the age of 43.
However, not everything about the star was hidden from everyone.
While many celebrate Boseman as one among the great’s that are revered across the international entertainment industry, he too had the little kings that he greatly respected in the industry.
Moreover one of them being, DJ Black Coffee, a South African house music DJ who has impacted the world with his craft.
While paying tribute to Boseman last night, Black Coffee revealed how honoured he was to have “the little king” as his fan.
In a short clip posted by the DJ, Chadwick can be seen counting the number of artists he listens to when he is focused on work, and one of them is none other than Black Coffee.
This comes as no surprise for many who follow the internationally acclaimed DJ. Having worked and produced music for Usher, Drake and Alicia Keys among many stars, and touring the world, he indeed deserves to be admired by the “fallen king”.
It’s such a beautiful thing to see kings honour each other in such a tragic time. Many have appreciated how much impact Black Coffee has locally and internationally, yet he remains so humble and continues to raise the Mzansi flag high.
