2. Limpopo to the world: Shudufhadzo Musida traces her roots to a small village called Ha-Masia in the Vhembe District Municipality of Limpopo. On 1st October 2020, she had an interview with Afternoon Express where she revealed that it was her first attempt at the pageantry. She also revealed that she was challenged by Zozibini Tunzi after she won the Miss Universe title.

5. A beauty with brains: If you listen to Shudufhadzo speaking, you will be convinced that she is a smart lady. She boasts of a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Philosophy, Politics and Economics degree from the University of Pretoria. As though that is not enough, she is currently pursuing a BA Honours in International Relations at the University of Witwatersrand. It is incredible how she manages to strike a balance between her studies and her passion.

6. A strong belief in women empowerment: Shudufhadzo is passionate about economic empowerment of both women and children. She believes that the Miss SA platform will be fundamental in amplifying her social activism. The best part about it is that she does not shy away from speaking up about her course. In fact, during her Miss SA 2020 acceptance speech, she made the following remarks about the same,

I stand here today as your Miss South Africa with immense pride and joy to be representing such a beautiful nation – one of the first Venda women, but certainly not the last – to become Miss South Africa. I stand here as an advocate for educational and economic empowerment of women and children and mental health awareness – honoured to be an ambassador of this beautiful nation.

7. A champion of mental health: Shudufhadzo is also passionate about conversations regarding mental health. She believes that the mind is the powerhouse that dictates one's productivity. She also preaches the gospel of prioritising conversations regarding mental health and doing away with the notion that the topic is a taboo. She hinted on the issue during the top 3 round of the Miss SA 2020 ceremony.

8. A victim of bullying: During the interview with Afternoon Express, Shudufhadzo Musida Miss SA 2020 opened up about her experience with bullying. She revealed that at the age of nine, she joined a new school where she was bullied for being Venda for seven years. The experience made her dream to be the voice of the minor people who cannot speak for themselves.

9. Hard work defines her: She credits her success to the hard work that she has put in throughout her course. She believes that being talented requires one to work hard for them to make it in modelling. Her social media pages are proof of how determined she gets when she sets her mind to do something.

10. Humanitarian activities: Shudufhadzo is a lady who stays true to her words. She has taken part in several charity drives in Limpopo. She recently donated sanitary towels, blankets, and food parcels to Takalani Children’s Home in Venda.

11. R3 million richer! Apart from bagging the prestigious title, Musida walked away with a whopping R1 million in cash from the organisers of the pageant. As part of the package, she will be receiving R2 million worth of prizes and sponsorships.
