Over the past few days, social media has been awash with rumours that Aleck Macheso, popularly known as Baba Shero has a Punani tape.
This came about after several social media accounts shared a sexually explicit video of a man who seems to resemble him. The man was engaged in a sexual act with an unidentified woman and the video seemed to have been recorded without consent as whoever recorded it is clearly outside and recording through the window.
Many social media users have been talking about the video with varying perspectives. Others believe it's him while others say it's not. Macheso himself took to Facebook to indirectly address the issue. He posted a snippet of his hit song Chikopokopo with the caption
"Time answers all things... We love you all"
It hasn't appeased all the voices who've seen the video but, the lyrics to Chikopokopo speak volumes.
The part Macheso posted says,

This can be translated as a message saying false allegations are being pushed onto him. Fans in the comments section under the video voiced their support for the Sungura legend.

The guitar maestro who has through memes often been compared to heartthrob Idris Elba has been in the music for many moons. This has earned him respect from older music fans.
A scandal like this one if true could possibly shake that strong foundation he's set on the music scene.
