Beer Outlets, Night Clubs Remain Closed: Zimbabweans React To Latest Lockdown Regulations

On Tuesday, President Emmerson Mnangagwa relaxed the lockdown regulations from level four to level two.

This saw curfew hours being reduced and business operating hours being increased among other things. However, bars, beer halls and nightclubs remain closed.

The issue of the reopening of bars and drinking spots seems to be highly contentious and resulted in mixed reactions. Some people questioned the logical and scientific basis for increasing the curfew while at the same time banning bars.

Below are some of the reactions from Zimbabweans on social media.
