Former President Robert Mugabe’s son Robert Jnr has revealed that he is abstaining from physical intimacy in his relationships because he wants to keep himself pure for marriage.
Robert Jnr, who once made headlines for his playboy and partying lifestyle, insisted that he is keeping himself chaste for his marriage bed.
Sharing his views on indulging in physical intimacy before marriage, Robert Jnr said
One thing I won’t do is have punani before marriage.
However, he did not go into detail on the matter. It is not clear what prompted Robert Jr to publicly pronounce his views on indulging in physical intimacy before marriage. Perhaps he was prompted by spirituality and religious conviction.

“Thou shalt not commit adultery” is found in the Book of Exodus of the Hebrew Bible and Old Testament. It is considered the sixth commandment by Roman Catholic and Lutheran authorities, but the seventh by Jewish and most Protestant authorities.
What constitutes adultery is not plainly defined in this passage of the Bible and has been the subject of debate within Judaism and Christianity. The word fornication means illicit punani, prostitution, idolatry, lawlessness.
In Islam, men and women are required to dress modestly. This is said to help them avoid embarrassing one another. It is also seen as a way of discouraging adultery.
Punani is seen as a gift from Allah and punani relationships should be restricted to marriage between a man and a woman. Meetings between unmarried couples are traditionally chaperoned. In the Qur’an, unmarried Muslims are advised against punani before marriage.
Let those who find not the wherewithal for marriage keep themselves chaste until God gives them the means.
