Former Zimbabwe Warriors player Shingi Kaondera has declared that he is willing to donate body organs to his former wife, embattled Marry Mubaiwa, who jilted him years back.
Kaondera expressed this in an interview with Zim Morning Post, two days after visiting Marry in hospital. Marry is suffering from lymphoedema, a chronic condition that causes fluid retention in the body’s lymphatic system, leading to swelling in the body’s tissues.
The disease causes her limbs to swell excessively, and her condition at the moment is life-threatening.
One of her doctors submitted a letter to the courts, saying her arm will have to be amputated. The state has refused for her to travel to South Africa so she can get treatment.

Speaking heartily about his ex-wife, Shingi Kaondera said: “I still love Marry with all my heart, if she needs any of my body part, I’m willing to give. As far as I am concerned, our marriage was never terminated, and as a Rasta, or an aspiring Rasta, I believe if you take an oath in court and swear to love someone, you should love them till death do you part. l have been loving her ever since we separated. I never stopped loving her. We may not get back together again but l will always love her for Destiny’s sake.”
Shingi Kaondera and Marry Mubaiwa were married, and had a child together, who is now 13-years-old. In 2011, Marry dumped Shingi when their child was still 2, and she got married to now Vice President Constantino Chiwenga.
Marry’s marriage to VP Chiwenga has since broken down and she is now in court for a cocktail of accusations, including forging their marriage, assaulting Chiwenga’s maid and attempting to kill the Vice President when he was ill in South Africa.
