Joey Nyikadzino is a Zimbabwean socialite, actress, scriptwriter and beautician. She is also a teacher by training.
Background: Joey was born on May 21, 1983, in a family of seven – two boys and five girls. She was born and raised in Harare’s Kambuzuma suburb.
Education: Joey did her primary education in the rural areas. She did her grade one and two at Mutoko Primary School before moving to Nyadire Primary School, where she did her grade three to seven.
After completing her primary education, Joey went to Ngezi Secondary School, where she did her Ordinary Levels. After passing her O Levels, she went to Roosevelt High School in Harare for her Advanced Levels.
Following her A Levels, Joey attended Morgan Zintec College in Harare, where she graduated with a diploma in teaching. After graduating, she worked as a teacher.
However, she only worked for a year as a teacher before quitting the education field to study beauty.

Career & Businesses: After graduating as a beautician, she worked at Ebony Hair Salon from 2007 to 2010 before moving to pursue solo projects.
Joey Nyikadzino opened Supreme Beauty Parlour in 2013 before opening Whispers Beauty Shop a few years later.
The multitalented Joey later ventured into acting and featured on Estate Blues on ZBC TV. She also featured in a number of plays including The Long Night, Think, Outrage and Missing Chronicles.
Personal Life: According to Joey herself, her love life is “very complicated.” She revealed that she is a single mother of two kids after she walked out on her marriage.
In separate interviews with lifestyle tabloid H-Metro, Joey said,
“Regarding my love life, it’s very complicated and I really mean it. However, I’m a proud mother of two and I really love my kids. I am actually toiling for them so that they have a better future.”
In another interview, she said,
“What inspired me is everything I became after I walked out of marriage. I am now a business lady and I am doing well for myself,”
Single Mothers Club: Joey Nyikadzino is the CEO of the Single Mothers Club (SMC), a social media movement with various chapters across the globe.
Joey formed the club on her birthday, May 21, in 2020 to empower and raise the self-esteem of single mothers. The club aims to help single mothers “grow in business to be their own source of inspiration and healing.”
