Despite Kudakwashe Mahachi’s off-pitch saga currently trending, Zimbabwe premier league football clubs are vying to sign the former Orlando Pirates superstar.
Following drama in which the footballer is accused of scalding his four-year-old son Diego with hot water, Mahachi was suspended by Supersport United who urged him to solve his in-house issues.
Within a few weeks of serving Mahachi with a suspension, SuperSport United CEO Stan Matthews delivered a blow to the footballer after confirming that the club wasn’t renewing his contract when it expires at the end of the season.
However, Chicken Inn are interested in signing their ‘prodigal son’ Mahachi who once played for the club.

Mahachi will forever be welcomed at Chicken Inn he is one of our own and we need to show him a bit of love considering what he is going through.
On the pitch, he is an amazing player and can give us something which we are looking for with his unique style of play.
We are not there to judge him, because he hasn’t been proven guilty, I’m not taking any sides because I dont really know what happened.
But, everyone deserves a second chance in the event that he is found guilty.
He added:
We have made any signing yet, but we are planning to strengthen our squad with what we can afford. We are looking forward to bringing in a striker and a defender, that’s our area of concern, our midfield department has been solid enough.
Meanwhile, the troubled footballer is alleged to have smashed and stole his sister’s phone to destroy evidence of horrific child abuse.
