In what reads like a scene out of a Hollywood thriller, police have arrested a Ximex Mall dealer barely a day after he threw United States dollar notes in Harare’s central business district.
There was a near stampede at Ximex Mall in the area between Innez Terrace and Angwa Street near Zimpost offices on Thursday when the dealer identified as Boss Pango caused a scene when he made it rain United States dollars.
Pango was in a Toyota Aqua vehicle spraying the elusive greenback. In a video that has since gone viral, people who were in that area were seen scrambling for the money.
The Ximex Mall dealer whose real name is Tafadzwa Russel Murengwa popularly known as Boss Pangolin was arrested by police on Friday for allegedly shooting dead his lover who has been identified as Sammie Dzapata.
Boss Pangolin’s girlfriend was shot dead at Bathroom Boutique and he is the chief suspect in the murder. Information reaching this publication is Boss Pangolin shot his girlfriend for cheating on him.

We reached out to the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) for an official statement which had not been released at the time of publishing.
Word on the street is Boss Pangolin got a professional job using his educational qualifications and decided to celebrate with his fellow Ximex Mall dealers.
It is not clear which job he landed but he was obviously ecstatic and decided to spread some cheer around. Ximex Mall dealers who spoke to a local publication said:

The dealers said Boss Pangolin threw dollar bills which he usually carried around with him.
