HARARE – Prophet Walter Magaya of the Prophetic Healing Deliverance Ministries (PHD) caused a stir in town this week as he prayed for people in First Street.
Magaya got into OK First Street before he was mobbed by a crowd asking to be blessed at the till where the prophet was paying for his groceries.
The growing crowd around the till forced officials in the supermarket to ask the followers to leave the shop and wait for the prophet outside as the situation had become a security risk.
He paid for his groceries and came out of the supermarket and the crowd ballooned asking to be touched by Magaya.
Many were touched in the head and told, “God bless you” and they would immediately withdraw from the crowd smiling.
A few fell upon the laying of hands as Magaya walked across town along Nelson Mandela and into Rezende Street mobbed by a crowd that was not a planned tour as his real purpose in town was to see Beverly Sibanda’s new shop and buy a few groceries.
“I came to view the shop and buy food for people that I take care of. Chaos started when I was asked to leave the supermarket and I had no option than to pray for the people that were pleading with me,” he said before driving away.
