An appeals court upheld a judge's ruling, which bans a man from having more children. 35-year-old Asim Taylor of Ohio, has four children, but does not pay child support for any of them. He is about $100,000 in the red.
“It is a matter of common sense and personal responsibility,” Lorain County Probate Judge James Walther said.
Taylor was placed on five years probation and if he impregnates another woman during this time, he might go to jail.
His attorney, Doug Merrill, appealed the case as it violates his client’s rights.
Merrill said that the only way to follow the order and to make absolute sure that his client does not impregnated another woman is to abstain from sex, and that violates his rights.
However, the appellate court upheld the judge's ruling.
