Zimbabwe’s newly appointed number two, Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa has taken over the reins as President Mugabe left Harare yesterday for his traditional, month long annual leave.
The ZANU-PF strong man who is not expected back in the country until mid January is headed for an undisclosed location in the Far East.
Mnangagwa and number three Phelekezela Mphoko were sworn in on Friday in the aftermath of a blitzkrieg ZANU-PF congress that resulted in the ‘baby dumping’ of Joice Mujuru and a coterie of other bigwigs over accusations of plotting to topple Mugabe.
Sweet Power, what’s there not to like?
