PROPHETIC Healing and Deliverance ministries leader Walter Magaya has said that all Zimbabweans needed to pray for President Robert Mugabe as the ageing leader was there by "God's grace".
Magaya said this while preaching to thousands of women attending the ladies all night prayer at his church Friday.
He said Mugabe needed the prayers of Zimbabweans for wisdom to lead the country.
"Lets us pray for our leader; I am talking about my president. Yes let's pray for him; he needs our prayers for wisdom. Let me tell you one thing, leaders are made by God and we have to pray for them," he said to the applause of the congregants.
"I am serious let us pray for him (Mugabe) he needs our prayers as a nation. I know there are people here from various countries, pray for your presidents they are there because of God's grace," he told the gathering."
The all-night prayer which was aimed at praying for God's intervention in marriages and fight 'anti-marital spirits.'
Thousands of women from all walks of life, including some from regional countries on thronged the ladies all-night marriage prayer meeting in Waterfalls, Harare.
More than 80 000 people attended the all-night prayer meeting where the PHD founder Prophet Walter Magaya emphasized the need for marriage protection and guidance prayers to counter divorces which are on the increase.
The all-night prayer was screened on ZBC-TV, South Africa's etv, One Gospel and other regional channels.
The theme centred on the spirituality and sanctity of marriage in accordance with the Bible.
