October 31, 2015 will be a date that the music industry in South Africa will never forget.
Cassper Nyovest made history by becoming the first South African artiste to sell-out The Dome in Johannesburg.
Twenty-thousand tickets were sold before the event on Saturday night.
The success has spurred the 24-year-old to greater heights, with his sights set on Orlando Stadium next year, and 40,000 ticket sales.

Various artistes, including TolA$Mo, Stilo Magolide, Riky Rick and Major League DJz took to the stage before Cassper came out for his set.
As if filling up The Dome was not enough, his second album Refiloe went gold in just three hours of its release during the show.
Before the show Nyovest shared that he had launched a clothing line and items would be on sale during the show.
The clothes include baseball jerseys, hoodies, caps vests, crop tops and t-shirts ranging from R250 to R650.
Many took to social media site Twitter to mark the day that will go down in South African music history as unforgettable and shared various pictures of the venue that was packed.
Nyovest’s girlfriend television personality Boity Thulo also congratulated her rapper boyfriend saying: “How do I communicate with this incredible being after this? I feel like I need to reintroduce myself and ask him out.”
South Africa’s Sports Minister Mbalula who also attended the show seemed to fire a shot at Nyovest’s arch enemy AKA with a cryptic tweet: “Swag on dust2dust levels. Tonight call me Minister FLEEK-ile Mbaweezy. #FillUpTheDome.”
Another fan, @SebaSimelane shared a picture of a show headlined by AKA on the same night in Durban, tweeted: “@euphonik: Abo Super Mega whilst @CassperNyovest #Filledthedome tonight, Couldn’t even fill up the field”.
Nyovest went to his Faceabook fan page to thank his fans for supporting him in fulfilling his dream.
“Shout out to every single musician that worked on ?#?FillUpTheDome?, backstage and otherwise. Thank you my n***as. We made history!!! Shout out to everybody who bought tickets. Thank you. Next year we do Orlando stadium,” posted Nyovest. — Showbiz Reporter/Online.
