Brendan Rodgers is stalling on accepting another role in case he is offered the Chelsea job, say reports.

Rodgers was rumoured a month ago to be one of the options Chelsea were considering if they sacked Jose Mourinho.

The Blues have since stuck by the Special One, but the Sun says ex-Liverpool man Rodgers still believes he could get a call to take over at Stamford Bridge.
It could be a shrewd plan as Chelsea’s form is showing no signs of improving, with the 2-1 defeat to Leicester City on Monday seeing Mourinho concede defeat in their battle to reach the top four this season.

Rodgers would likely to be an interim option but he’s told pals he’d like the opportunity to take over if Mourinho leaves.
