UGLY violent scenes marred Sulumani Chimbetu’s show on Monday at Bar Rouge, located at Longcheng Plaza Mall in the capital.
While all seemed to have been in order at the well-attended show, things took an ugly turn when two female fans, only identified as Sheila and Chihera, started trading insults that later degenerated into a fight in an alleged “the-boy-is-mine” bout, as the former accused the latter for snatching her man.
They exchanged vulgar jibes and the situation turned nasty when they started throwing empty beer bottles at each other, forcing Sulu, who was in the middle of his performance, to call for, one of his security personnel, identified as Daphel Chiweshe, who was outside the venue.
Chiweshe muscled Sheila out of the venue and this did not go down well with her friends, who then joined the fracas, causing mayhem.
Sheila’s sister, identified as Florence, also joined the scuffle, but was assaulted by Bar Rouge male staffers, as they struggled to force her out of the venue.

After realising that their actions were attracting many people, the staffers decided to close the windows and shut off the view of what was transpiring from the public.
Some revellers tried to storm the VIP booth, but failed, as Florence resisted leaving the room in protest and she had to be thrown out after about 20 minutes.
“This is too much! Is there a police post here? We need to call the police. I cannot watch my sister being brutally attacked like this,” said one of her friends.
Sulu and his Orchestra Dendera Kings, however, did not disappoint, as they staged a stellar show that saw fans singing along throughout their performance.
