And even though celebs and
judges alike have chimed in on whether or not they think Steve should return for next year's competition, it turns out it really doesn't matter what any of us think (not that we really thought they'd listen to us, but still).

Because according to
ET Online, Steve will not only be back next year, but for many years to come.
Sources seem to have told ET that Steve will definitely be back for 2016, and more so, that he signed a multiyear contract just a few days before this year's televised pageant. What's more? It looks like he not only secured himself a job for three years (and potentially six or seven), but that he'll be making "more than they've ever paid before for a host."
And side note, in case any of us were wondering how the big boys at WME/IMG are handling the situation—the company is happy as clams, as ET says that they "really [love]" Harvey and they probs don't have any complaints about all the extra attention the pageant is getting because of Steve's mistake.
