Sports Minister, Hlongwange, is pleased so far with the notable progress and sanity that is prevailing in the running of business on the domestic front.
“We should not be having unnecessary squabbles that disturb the grammar of the flow of the football industry. We want things to be flawless as so happens to be the case right now. “I am happy as the Minister with the work that you are doing to stabilise the ZIFA ship. I want you (ZIFA leadership) to work even harder. I want you to do even more and control all football in Zimbabwe,’’ Hlongwane said.
The CHAN Tournament is scheduled to kick off on the 16th, with Warriors having a date to lock horns with cross Zambezi rivals, Chipolopolo, on the 19th of January before taking on Mali, and Uganga on the 23rd, and 27th respectively.
CAPS United utility, Hardlife Zvirekwi, will lead the troops in the absence of Chicken Inn’s Danny Phiri, who was pulled out of the travelling batch as he could not pass a late fitness test of an ankle injury over the weekend. Bosso’s Knox Mutizwa will deputise Zvirekwi.
