BULAWAYO-BASED prophet Mduduzi Dube says God has told him that in the near future a woman would be president of Zimbabwe.
“We should pray for our country such that it comes out of its current quagmire, there is hope for our nation but I see a woman president in the near future for our country.
“Each time I pray, I am shown the same thing about a female being the president of our country,” said Dube.
The youthful prophet, who now calls himself the “Black Elisha”, could not, however, elaborate on who exactly that female was.

Addressing his congregants during an all-night prayer in the city centre recently, Dube quickly defended his prophecies, saying he was not an alarmist but merely a conveyer belt of what the future holds.
However, some congregants could be overheard discussing the issue throwing in names of First Lady Grace Mugabe, former Vice President Joice Mujuru the leader of the yet-to-be-formed People First party and president of the Senate Edna Madzongwe.
The little known House of Prayer International Family (HOPIF) leader — who has been on a whirlwind tour of Zambia, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, South Africa and Ghana — last year made headlines over $2 000 miracle money at one of his services in Kenya.
Dube became popular in the region last year after he prayed for a 38-year-old local businesswoman, who had nursed an unusual 10-month pregnancy and in the end delivered a bullfrog at Mpilo Central Hospital.
He also made headlines after congregants at his Nguboyenja headquarters reportedly got blessed with varied quantities of “miracle gold” during a church service.
But recently, before he embarked on the healing and deliverance ceremony, Dube chose to give a few hints about the nation’s future.
“I foresee drought that is going to ravage the better part of southern Africa, food prices and other basic commodities will increase and I see some Africans migrating overseas as life gets tougher. But God is telling me that we need to pray and fast so that this will not have serious effects on our lives.”
