Jada Pinkett Smith isn’t letting Chris Rock’s Oscars dig get her down.
Pinkett Smith said she was unfazed by Rock’s jokes about her in his opening monologue at the awards ceremony, saying it simply “comes with the territory.”
“It comes with the territory, sweetheart,” she told x17online. “We got to keep it moving, there’s a lot of stuff we got to handle, a lot of stuff in our world right now. We got to keep it moving.”

Jada Pinkett Smith responds to Chris Rock's Oscars joke: 'It comes with the territory' |
“What happened this year? People went nuts. Spike [Lee] got mad. Jada went mad. Will went mad. Everyone went mad!” Rock said about the celebrities who weighed in on the matter. “Jada said she’s not coming. I was like, ‘Isn’t she on TV show?’ Jada’s gonna boycott the Oscars? Jada boycotting the Oscars is like me boycotting Rihanna’s panties – I wasn’t invited!”
He continued: “Her man Will was not nominated for Concussion. I get it. You get mad. It’s not fair that Will was this good and didn’t get nominated. You’re right. It’s also not fair that Will was paid $20 million for Wild Wild West!”
Smith, 47, didn’t seem bothered by the comments either, as he was seen smiling and signing autographs for fans in New York City, just one day after the Oscars.
