The dust is yet to settle regarding the death of Bishop Jean Marie Benoit Balla of the Bafia diocese. This time Oum Jean Paul presents himself as brother and friend of late Bishop challenging the ruling of the Yaounde central Court of appeal on the death of His Lordship.
He declares and emphasizes that the Late bishop of Bafia did not commit suicide; adding to the voices of catholic Bishops that he was assassinated.
The brother and friend of the late Bishop met the press in Yaounde yesterday Thursday, disclosing that Bishop Balla did not commit suicide; challenging the communique of the General Attorney of the Appeal Court of the Centre Region which attested that the Bishop Balla might have died by drowning in the Sanaga River.
Oum Jean says the late Bishop was a good swimmer and could not could not have committed suicide by drowning. He questions why Bishops of Cameroon and Cameroonian pathologists were excluded from the autopsy conducted on Bishop Balla’s corpse which judicial authorities say was done by experts from abroad.
He calls on Cameroonians to keep demanding the truth about the death of Bishop Balla challenging negative forces which he says are suspected to be hiding the truth. He has launched a citizen action for justice and peace; an action which he says shall go operational after the burial of Benoit Balla.
Bishop Balla of Bafia who died last month will be buried on August 3 2017 in his diocese in Bafia.
