Nelson Chamisa will field candidates using MDC Alliance whilst Thokozani Khupe will use the name MDC-T but will use new party symbols.
Speaking to The Chronicle, Khupe’s deputy Obert Gutu said his party’s symbol will be an open palm and face of a young child in between raising the right hand. He said their new symbol had already been accepted by the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC).

People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader Mr Tendai Biti, whose party is a member of the MDC Allliance, said as a grouping of seven parties they would be using the name MDC Alliance for this election.
