In an interview on SABC News, Oliver Mtukudzi’s Memorial Service committee member, Roshnie Moonsammy said a memorial service will be held for the late Zimbabwean music icon In Johannesburg, South Africa.
The memorial service will be held at the Joburg Theatre in Braamfontein on Tuesday 5 February.from 12 PM to 5 PM. The event will be open for members of the public and is free. Mtukudzi’s daughters Sandra and Selmor Mtukudzi will participate at the event.

Apart from his daughters, Mtukudzi’s collaborators Steve Dyer and Ringo will also perform at the event.
Dyer will perform with the Hugh Masekela band.
