Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi has won the hearts of South Africans many times over with her elegant looks and inspiring confidence. Time and time again, she’s left us wondering what she can’t do.
In December we were left swooning when we heard her take on Lebo Elle Tisane's Nobody But You and Ariana Grande and Nathan Sykes’ Almost is Never Enough. And she recently took to social media to bless us with a heartfelt rendition of Andra Day's Rise Up.
"We will rise up! It may seem and look bleak but it's not over. We can and we will rise up! I brought out all the vabrato today for my Queen @andradaymusic [sic]," she captioned the video.
As always, the vid was met with praise and with many affirming her beautiful, dulcet voice.
In the latest issue of DRUM, Zozibini speaks to us about her virtual reign as Miss Universe. Although it has been disrupted by the pandemic, Zozi says this period of uncertainty hasn't silenced her, but amplified her voice and reach.
