A 21-year-old maid from Bulawayo has been arrested after allegations emerged that she was sexually abusing her employer’s 10-year-old son.
Africa Metro has established from a police report published in the Daily News that the domestic worker who cannot be named to protect the identity of the minor, sexually harassed the boy at their Bradfield residency on the 20th of February this year.
Police national spokesperson Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident saying:
Police received a case of aggravated indecent assault which occurred on February 20 in Bradfield where a male juvenile, 10, was sexually abused by a housemaid.
Inspector Nyathi warned members of the public and parents not to leave children in the custody of persons they do not trust.

In a similar incident, a 35-year-old Hwange man was arrested for allegedly raping his 11-year-old niece.
The victim’s relative who chose not to be named in order to protect the minor, confirmed the incident to the Daily News expressing shock and disbelief saying:
Everyone is shocked. It seems as if umalume (uncle) has been abusing this girl for a long. The world is so evil.
Circumstances are that the 11-year-old boy started behaving strangely and complaining of itchy privates.
Relatives became suspicious and took the boy to a nearby clinic for a medical examination where it was revealed that she had been raped.
The girl immediately told nurses that her 35-year-old uncle had sexually abused him leading to his arrest and is currently detained at Hwange police station.
