Former English Premier League (EPL) star Paul Pogba has alleged that his brother and mafia threatened him with rifles in an extortion scandal, demanding millions of dollars.
It is alleged that Pogba’s brother, Mathias, colluded with other unnamed gang members to extort the former Manchester United midfielder demanding £11m as a ‘protection services’ fee.
Apart from demanding £11m, it is also reported that the gang members dragged Pogba to a Paris apartment where they threatened the famous footballer to settle the ‘protection services’ bill that stretches from 13 years back.
However, Pogba was forced to take the matter to the police on Sunday after his brother, who is believed to be part of the gang members, shared a bizarre video online threatening to leak unspecified “explosive revelations” about his brother.

Mathias, who played for football clubs; Wrexham, Crewe and Crawley Town said:
“If I make this video, I believe that the French, Italian, English, and Spanish supporters, which means the whole world, as well as my brother’s fans, and even more, the French team and Juventus, my brother’s teammates and his sponsors deserve to know certain things, in order to decide, in full knowledge of the facts, if he really deserves the admiration, respect and love of the public.
“There will be many elements and testimonies to confirm my words. All of this is likely to be explosive and make a lot of noise.”
Meanwhile, the Juventus midfielder has issued a press statement via his legal representatives following Mathias’ video clips that shook the internet. In a statement, Pobga said the video footages were ‘unfortunately no surprise’ and were in addition to other ‘threats and extortion attempts’.
According to AFP news agency, the French police have commenced investigations into the case, and no further details have been shared so far.
