Jah Master Addresses Kicking Fan Off Stage During Live Performance

Man of the moment and Hello Mwari Hitmaker Jah Master who has been in the headlines for the wrong reason has issued a statement on attacking and kicking a fan off the stage during a live performance.

Rising Zimdancehall musician Jah Master, real name Rodney Mashandure, set social media ablaze yesterday with a fan-recorded video in which he gave a fan a flying kick during a live performance at the recently held sanctions gala.

The incident left fans and fellow musicians at a loss for words after he attacked and kicked a harmless fan who had gone up on the stage to enjoy his song ‘Unonzani’.

In a statement released on his official Facebook page, Jah Master addresses the incident which has seen him being criticized by fans and fellow artists such as Mai Titi who has always been an avid fan of his.

In the statement, Jah Master says there is no justification for the attack and asks his fans to forgive him for the incident which has the potential to ruin his otherwise promising career as a musician. He goes on to promise fans that he will not repeat the attack.

Jah Master goes on to state that he is looking for the fan he attacked so that medical checks are done to make sure he was not hurt because of the attack. He has also compensated the fan with all proceeds from the show.

He thanked his fans and everyone for criticizing his behaviour which he agrees was unwarranted. Jah Master adds that he does not know what came over him to kick and attack a fan on stage. The Zimdancehall chanter promised to give fans an update on the issue.
