Salvation Press News (SPN), HARARE. – Prophet Passion Java is a man with an obscure upbringing. He only came to the limelight from his brother’s church Apostle Batsirai. In record time he had launched his own independent ministry called Kingdom Embassy. Originally his spiritually father was his brother but later on he moved from one spiritual father to the next.
Soon he rebranded the original church into a more personalised ministry called Passion Java Ministries. That was not all. He began attracting thousands of followers and in no time he was a force to reckon with in the Christian spheres. He later rose to prominence with the revelation of identification particulars for strangers. His fame grew beyond Zimbabwe into South Africa. In not time he had built an empire reminiscent of business moguls driving latest car models and even purchasing some for his trusted lieutenants.
Prophet Java once attracted peoples’ attention when he put wrestling athletes on his posters. This however invited a lot of criticism, with people question the relevance of John Cena and the Rock on his adverts. He then retorted saying, “there is nothing sinister about adding wrestlers on posters and are they not humans like anyone else? What most people don’t know is that they are both Christians, and when I went to America, I laid my hands on them and prayed for them.”
There seems to be a lingering element of exaggeration on his part. Here is a man, who is perhaps pursuing fame by all means necessary, even by erecting posters depicting athletes from lands afar in order to attract local devotees to his church. In his mind, he knew that wresting is a world-wide fan pulling sport, followed by millions of viewers around the globe. His claim to connection with the aforementioned wrestlers seems to be like an attention seeking gimmick and a marketing strategy that he thought could fool some Christians.
His American connection does not end there. Recently, he is reported to have relocated to America in a bid to strengthen his waning local ministry, we assume. In one of his recent tweets, he noted, “Back from Jamaica, relaxing at home and getting ready for our first Sunday, Huston church service.”
A lot can implied from that account. He had the capacity to minister in Jamaica, so, it means that his ministry is growing stronger. By relaxing at home, it seems he has relocated to America and staying there for prolonged periods. At the writing of this article, Prophet Java had just updated his Facebook page inviting those who cared to attend his upcoming revival in Huston
On face value, it may seem he is successful, travelling from America to Jamaica. In reality is he and his ministry succeeding like he is implying? Please refer to our previous article entitled: (Kill the shepherd and scatter the flock). We recently passed through his church and it seems to be in a sorry state, with less than five vehicles parked in the parking lot. His once ballooning attendance has dropped drastically. His former glory days have since transformed into a ghost-like nightmare.
Our random survey reveals that his recent relocation to America might not be by design, but he may be actually running away from some transgressions back in Harare. There are three main possible noted valid reasons for his sudden departure. The local media broke a story in which he was involved in an accident involving a borrowed car which was deemed a write off. As of now, he only repaid $2000 out of the required $19 000 total value since 20111. The vehicle owner has also reported recurrent harassment whenever he confronted Prophet Passion to reach an amicable settlement.
The dismal failure of the Bishop Noel Jones conference left him in mounting debt. He had originally looked forward to reap a lot of rewards from the conference basing on the popularity of Bishop Jones across the Christian divide. Unfortunately, his forecast was incorrect. Only an estimated 1 000 people attended his highly publicised conference into a stadium which could is easily filled to capacity by local prophets. It is highly probably that he might be fleeing from escalating local arrears.
Thirdly, he might be following after his newly-found American mistress as stressed in our previous scoop that we published a while back, called: (Prophet Passion Java headed for divorce). Being in America means he can safely evade the prying eyes of locals and find time with his new love in the absence of his legally-recognised wife back in Harare. – Salvation Press News (SPN).
