Salvation Press News (SPN), HARARE. – Prophet W Magaya is at it again. The last time he enticed so much storm is when he labelled white garment churches (mapositori) as marine spirit possessed churches. This was instantly after he lured Tocky Vibes to perform in front of his congregation at Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministry arena.
Salvation Press News then immediately featured the highly-controversial deed in our previous article (Tocky Vibes in church: are circular musicians hijacking the church?). Then, without regret Sulumani Chimbetu, another notably circular musician is again invited to the podium to perform for the same congregates. Let’s revisit the Chimbetu’s history.

Sulumani was fathered by Simon, a former great musician whose popularity waned when he dabbled in political commentary of the day. When he died, he was a pale shadow of his diluted fame. The late musician was a declared Muslim believer and probably his family, hence the name Sulumani which has a Muslim connotations. When Simon passed on, he was buried with full Islam rights being observed.
Dear readers, are we not allowing other religions to infiltrate the church while we turn sideways and sing praises. It has been noted that in 2015, the Muslim religion will infiltrate the church in order to cause confusion. Here, are we not sighting the proliferation of the same prophecy? Yes, Sulumani does not sing and praise Mohamed but does the PHD forefather really know his spiritual or religious link for the matter.
No one doubts that Sulumani is brand ambassador of note for about ten brands in the same category with Tocky Vibes but that is confined to the outside world where everything is permissible. What then is Prophet Magaya implying when he brings a ‘certified Muslim’, to perform in front of Christians? Many know that he is not a womaniser, a drunkard. In fairness, we can’t compare him to Rocky, a wife basher and womaniser of note or Exq, who deserted his wife to live in with a sugar mummy. Or he close to Guspy Warrior who after infiltrating Zim praise, a gospel ensemble, impregnated one of its members.

The Dendera crooner has a clean record. His fame was arguably built by his late father, Simon who made a name over a prolonged period, enduring the turbulent entrainment industry, only to be rewarded at the twilight of his age. In the local media circles Sulumani is a big name, we have to we appreciate him being a model in the entertainment industry, but his fame should end right there. By biblical standards, he has no right to invade the pulpit with the same music and sway believers with his music.

Once upon a time, his musical career almost hit a brick wall when he released a song title: Batai munhu, which advocated for violence. So, when Magaya invites him to the podium did he sing his hit: kana munhu anetsa batai munhu in church and what did it imply. We do not dispute the fact that, he is a sought-after brand name but not for the kingdom of God. He has no right as the candidate for the body of Christ to stand at the holly alter and preach to the congregation. Sulumani should confess his spiritual links before he performs for Christians– Salvation Press News (SPN).
